The Canadian Agricultural Partnership and Agri-Science Program

A commitment of $21.3 million in research investment in the edible horticulture sector over the period 2018 to 2023 was possible through the AgriScience Program Cluster 3 component. This investment included a $13.8 million contribution by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) and a $7.5 million contribution by industry stakeholders including growers, processors, universities/colleges and other affiliated industry stakeholders.

Eight potato research projects are funded under Cluster 3 with a total value of $10.8 million with contributions of $ 7.1 million from AAFC and $3.7 million from industry stakeholders.
